Vice President - Offshoring, OMX Technology - Stockholm
Björn Krouthén has 20 years of experience within software development and has been with OMX Technology since 1997. He has held different positions within the company, e.g. Delivery Project Manager and Vice President Development. Krouthén has a M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics and a M.S.
in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
The responsibilities of the offshoring function at OMX is to manage relations with current and future offshoring partners and seek new offshoring opportunities. Finding synergies with business development in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions as well as looking at ways to break into the Indian market are also included in the responsibilities of he job.
The function was initiated June 2004 and is the natural progression of a project that had been ongoing within OMX Technology since autumn 2003 to investigate offshoring opportunities and secure support for outsourcing development, maintenance and support of mature products. Offshoring support is now trained and in place for parts of OMX Technology and today is a part of the line operations.
