Christian Frank is a partner of Taylor Wessing at Munich. His practice focuses on complex technology related transactions and strategic alliances, including software and technology licensing, R&D and technology transfer agreements, and other IP and commercial transactions affecting the information technology industry. In his transactional practice, he recently advised inter alia Finisar during the acquisition of the fiber optics business of Infineon Technology, and Volt information Sciences Inc. with regard to the acquisition of Varetis Solutions. His latest litigation record includes the representation of Fujitsu Siemens in the German model case on copyright levies on computers.

Christian passed both German legal state exams in Munich in 1993 and 1995 after having graduated as Licencié en droit from the University of Paris II/Assas. He joined the firm in 1996 while working on a doctoral thesis and graduated as Dr. jur. in Munich in 1999.

A frequent lecturer and author of various publications, Christian recently wrote the chapter on "Disguised Advertising" in one of Germany's leading books on unfair competition. His disquisition on computer contracts (co-author Jörg Wimmers) will be published in early 2006. Christian is a member of the German Society of Law and Information (DGRI), the Computer Law Association, and of the International League of Competition Law.
