Christiane Féral-Schuhl, a partner in the Salans Paris office, has been practising for 20 years specialising in computer law and information technology law. She is in charge of the Salans Global ITC Group. Ms. Féral-Schuhl has significant experience in advising on drafting and negotiating contracts, including outsourcing and integration contracts, as well as internet and e-commerce contracts; in privacy and security auditing and implementation practices; with electronic signatures and encryption. She also has wide experience with regard to litigation in the sectors of computer law, the internet and the media. Her clients include French and international computer and software companies, service providers and IT users (private and public entities) in various areas such as the banking, aeronautic and insurance sectors. Ms. Féral-Schuhl was admitted to the Bar in 1981 and co-founded FG Associés in 1988, a niche practice firm in Information Technologies and Communications (ITC). FG Associés joined Salans in 1997. She speaks French and English. She has been appointed as international legal expert by the French Institute of International Legal Experts (IFEJI). She also acts as a cyberarbitrator before the OMPI court and as an arbitrator before the ICC. She is the President of the Board of Directors of the Association pour le Développement de l'Informatique Juridique (ADIJ) and the President of the e-Commerce group of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Féral-Schuhl is the author of two publications: Cyberdroit, le droit à l'épreuve de l'Internet and L'Entreprise, l'Informatique et le Droit. She is a well-known legal lecturer at national and international conferences on the legal issues of new technologies. She is frequently solicited to provide opinions for publications or in the scope of consultations initiated by public authorities. | ||
