J. Krishnan - Satyam Infoway
Profile:
J. Krishnan is a graduate from I.I.T. Madras and PGDM from I.I.M. Calcutta. He has been part of the computer industry since 1985. He was part of the core team that started Computer Point and was a promoter-director of Micro Land. He is currently an advisor at Satyam Infoway and has been part of the Internet Access group since inception.

Sudhir Loomba - Microsoft
Profile:
Electronics and Communication Engineer and PGDM from IIM, Lucknow (91 batch). Have been in the IT industry primarily in sales, marketing and business development roles focusing mostly on telecom and the emerging Internet industry. Working for Microsoft Corp. India as Account Manager - Internet for Network Solutions Group focusing on Service Providers in Internet space.

 
 

Sankaran P. Raghunathan - BlueShift
Profile:
Dr. Sankaran P. Raghunathan is the Chairman of Blueshift Internet Ventures, an Indian Internet Incubator based in India and the US. Dr. Raghunathan also started and successfully runs Blueshift, an Internet applications development and software services firm based in Atlanta and Chennai. He also has to his credit another Internet startup, Blueshift Geodesics, Inc., a public access Internet Kiosk company.

Dr. Raghunathan is a professor of International Business; having taught for about 9 years at the Graduate School of Management, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA, he now holds a position at the Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He earned his doctoral degree from Temple University, Philadelphia. After his undergraduate degree in Commerce and a degree in Law from the University of Madras, he also graduated with a MBA degree from XLRI, India. He has had various stints in the industry; having worked for four years in Banking; he shifted to the Information Systems industry. Dr. Raghunathan has presented papers at various conferences internationally and his articles have appeared in popular newspapers in the US and India. Profile:
He has been a technology enthusiast for the past 16 years in diverse IT segments and enjoys learning and disseminating the knowledge and excitement. He has been with Intel for the past 3 years contributing to Intel Architecture-based technology evangelisation to the software application developers and currently to solution integrators. Prior to that he provided technical support in areas of professional videographics and animation. He has dabbled in technical writing, training video production and software programming for more than 10 years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications from Mysore University.

Synopsis:
One of the challenges facing enterprise e-Business Solution developers today is selecting the right architecture and application components for building their solution. Another challenge is understanding the capacity of applications and modifying it to remove bottlenecks and increase capacity. This presentation describes how Intel is addressing these challenges at the Intel Solution Centers.
