Building a Performance Management Infrastructure in FSI - Agility in the face of challenge. |
Speaker: |
Murray Sargant, Director Sales - Financial
Management Solutions - PeopleSoft Japan & Asia Pacific. |
Synopsis: |
Successful migration to real-time customer profitability management and its advanced customer management methodology is a key to competitive advantage for Telecommunications Providers. Understanding what it takes to remain competitive means knowing as much as possible about your customers. Building out network capacity, adding new features, and implementing innovative products and services no longer guarantee increased revenues.
As competition becomes more intense and subscription rates start to reach saturation points, simple services have become commodities that have led to razor-thin margins. With profitability becoming more elusive for communications companies, the focus has shifted to acquiring and retaining not just any customers, but profitable customers. |

IT Perception management for PSU Banks |
Speaker: |
B.S.R. Prasad, Deputy General Manager (IT) - State Bank of India |
Synopsis: |
The Indian PSU banks have an image of not embracing technology. This has resulted in a perception amongst the public that they cannot provide new delivery channels.
In recent times, the PSU Banks have been investing in technology upgrades. In many cases these have been at par with the systems of the MNCs and the private sector banks. When it comes to pubic perception, these banks are carrying a not “Tech savvy” image.
The PSU banks are offering new delivery channels and services to their customers. However, the bank customers continue to use the old channels in these banks and look up to the MNC and the private sector banks for the other channels.
There is urgent need for the PSU banks not only to invest in overhauling their systems about also to invest in public relations to change the public perception. |
