Anup Varma is responsible for TIBCO's operations in India, overseeing the marketing, sales, customer satisfaction and overall project implementation functions. His responsibility also entails creating brand awareness and effective partner relations while leading the pre-sales, sales, and professional services teams.
Varma has over 21 years experience in the IT industry. Prior to TIBCO, he was Director for Strategic Accounts at SAP, driving large and strategic initiatives for key clients. Varma also served five years at Compaq as first, the Marketing and Strategic Business Manager followed by the Industry Manager of manufacturing, where he was responsible for selling Compaq's solutions to that vertical market. He has tremendous experience in developing strategic partnerships with complementary solution providers and creating new solutions for emerging markets. Varma also worked at Wipro Infotech for over nine years and later, he held the post of CEO of an Enterprise Internet Service Provider -- BPL Net.
Anup has a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Communication from IIT Kharagpur with a Post Graduation in Marketing and Systems from IIM Bangalore.
