CIO Track - Gartner Predicts & Solutions Delivery
In this track Gartner analysts take a long term view of technologies - established and new, such as wireless, security, infrastructure, business process management and service oriented business applications. Additionally, Gartner's views on some other issues that concern CIOs, such as management of powerhouse vendors and the evolution of the IT organization itself will be presented. The sessions are designed to give CIOs, their direct reports and senior technical staff a larger perspective and help them take decisions that will stand the test of time and help them in creating a simpler IT environment.
Global and Strategic Sourcing Track
This track covers global outsourcing as well as strategic sourcing and is therefore suitable both for enterprises and service providers.
Global Sourcing
We strongly recommend the attendance of: Those involved in Strategic & Marketing Planning in the global sourcing vendor community.
In the global sourcing part of the track, some of the themes explored are global offshoring trends in financial services and telecom industries and the emerging models in offshore BPO. These sessions provide valuable insights to service providers in understanding trends and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
Strategic Sourcing
We strongly recommend the attendance of: CIOs, Direct Reports, technical and business staff involved in evaluating and directing outsourcing efforts.
In the strategic sourcing part of the track there is a good balance between operational issues, such as total cost of outsourcing; critical success factors, such as leadership and change; and opportunity areas, such as network and accounting outsourcing. These sessions will aid IT leaders in increasing chances of success of their outsourcing initiatives.
Both of the above tracks are composed of sessions suitable for operational & tactical decision-makers & implementers.
Verticals Track
This track focuses on specific issues of government and financial services organizations. IT leaders and policy makers in government at federal, state and local levels will benefit from presentations on issues such as consolidation of infrastructure, technologies for intra-agency collaboration, performance management and business process outsourcing. Some of the themes in the financial services part of the track include architecting the financial institutions of the future, emerging technologies in banking, customer centric strategies and creating a risk managed enterprise.
EXP Track
The EXP track is designed for select CIOs. The sessions are smaller, more interactive and focus more on higher level issues, especially those at the interface of business and IT. Some of the sessions are - Business Realization Best Practices, Personal Scorecard for CIOs and Business Process & IT - Integration and Innovation.
