ITES initiatives
Kerala is the first State in the country to implement the core recommendations on labour regulatory framework for the IT industry made by the Planning Commission. Kerala is the first State to permit a three-shift operation and night shift for women and flexitime working. It also treads new ground by providing for part-time working and tele-working, both of which additionally enable ITES operations. The Department of IT has also set up an exclusive ITES Habitat in Cochin where various ITES training programmes are carried out.

Planet ITES
Planet ITES is a first-time project which involves a series of initiatives that will ensure the creation of a highly-skilled ITES manpower pool in the State.
