E-Payment products in banks based on centralised RBI platforms
Kaza Sudhakar, General Manager (DPSS) - Reserve Bank of India
Synopsis:
RBI conducts electronic clearings like RTGS, EFT, SEFT and ECS (Credit and Debit)
which enable funds to flow from account of one bank to another. Banks have created
several delivery channels and products to cater to the various customer segments
depending upon the time criticality and the business requirement of the customers.
While the infrastructure has been created it is observed that optimal utilisation
is not taking place. The high value payments need to move to the faster and more
secure RTGS platform. |
