Manoj Chugh is President, India & SAARC for EMC Corporation, world's leading provider of products, services and solutions for information storage and management. He is responsible for driving EMC's business in the region helping customers from small companies to large enterprises better leverage information assets realizing the full benefits of automated networked storage solutions.

An industry veteran with over 23 years experience in the ICT industry, Manoj has managed and led companies to leadership position across diverse businesses viz servers; satellite networking; telecom and networking and data storage. Manoj has to his credit the success of Scientific Atlantic, Wipro Infotech (server business), Cisco and now EMC in India.

In his current role as the President EMC, India and SAARC, he has successfully spearheaded the company's growth from No 5 in 2003 to No 1 in 2004 storage vendor in India. Prior to joining EMC, Manoj spent three-years as President of Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader of networking for the Internet for the India & SAARC Region. As the President, Cisco Systems he more than tripled the company's revenues and positioned it as the market leader across diverse verticals in the networking segment.

Prior to Cisco Systems, Manoj set up the operations of Scientific-Atlanta, Inc in India, and led the business to a leadership position in the DAMA VSAT market in the country. Manoj began his career with HCL Group where he was responsible for driving sales in Eastern India. As a member of the HCL Group he piloted the setting up of the first Computerized Astrology Service centre in India.

Manoj has also held several senior positions in sales, business development and general management in his tenure with Wipro which lasted for 14 years. As the General Manager- RISC Server Business, he led Wipro to a position of leadership in this segment for the first time.

Manoj is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has served as the Vice chairman of the Executive Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) and currently he is a member of the Executive Board. He has been awarded the "Best IT Man of the year 2001" by the National Foundation of Indian Engineers. Manoj has recently been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the e-Information Systems, Security and Audit Association (eISSA) in recognition of his contribution made to the propagation and promotion of ICT, communication and network education and information management.

Manoj is based in New Delhi, which is the headquarters for EMC's sales operations in India and SAARC region.
