Mr. Sunny Banerjea is the Global Banking Leader for IBM’s Institute of Business Value. He brings expertise in developing and executing business and customer strategy with a particular focus on retail banking and credit card operations. He has experience in managing projects, authoring papers, training personnel and developing and rolling out methodologies. He has been widely quoted in the Wall Street Journal, appears as an Expert Industry Analyst on CNN, and is a sought after speaker at Industry Conferences. He brings particular expertise in the area of Business Strategy, and Business Transformation and Change Management. His prior leadership roles have been as a member of the Leadership Team with the Financial Services Consulting Practices at IBM and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He advises some of the largest banks in the US and global financial institutions in Europe, Eastern Europe, India, Russia and China.
In his current role Mr. Banerjea advises CEOs and Business Unit Leaders of Financial Institutions on industry trends and on creating sustainable competitive advantage in the areas of retail banking, small business banking, cards, customer relationship management and wealth management. He leads thought leadership for IBM’s Banking vertical and also works on select corporate strategy initiatives.
