Ravikiran Mankikar, is presently working as General Manager – Information Technology at the Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank, Mumbai.

He has a rich experience in the field of banking and implementation of technological projects. He is driving the IT initiatives at the SVC Bank. Implementation of in-house developed ‘Genius’ Banking applications. on-line RTGS, BCTT, Service Tax, are some of the initiatives that are the 1st for the co-operative banking sector.

Earlier to this he has had stints with the technology departments of the IndusInd Bank and the Janakalyan Sahakari Bank.

A graduate in commerce, he has a Diploma in Systems Analysis. Recently he has acquired international certifications of BS7799 & Quality Management Systems. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

He is the only awardee from the Co-operative Banking sector of the C.H.Bhabha Scholarship & Research Award for his dissertation “Impact & Implications of Computerisation in Banks” conferred by the Indian Banks Association in 1997.

He was conferred the “CTO of the Year 2006” Award by the CTO Forum. This award complemented the Bank’s achievement in bagging the award for “The Best Use of IT in Retail Banking” in 2005 constituted by the Indian Banks Association and the “CIO Gold” Award from DataQuest. Recently the Bank was considered amongst the “Best IT Implementations” by PCQuest. He is also the recipient of the Indian Banks Association’s the “Outstanding Achiever of the Year” award and also the “Best Co-operative Bank” award at the annual Banking Technology Awards 2006.

The Bank also bagged the “Banking Frontier IT Awards” 2007 for Best Core Banking Implementation, for Best Payment System Initiative, for Best Product Innovation, for Best IT Infrastructure, for Best Wide Area Network (WAN) Implementation, and for Best Overall IT Strategy

Presently he was elected on the Managing Committee of the ISACA – Information Systems Audit & Control Association (USA) Mumbai Chapter and is the Vice President of the Chapter.
