Structural reforms are essential across sectors to help India achieve this goal and one of the key sectors playing a part would be Banking and the emergence of banking anywhere would complement the needed reforms in this sector.

The Conference Agenda will be both - comprehensive and futuristic. The agenda will encompass critical areas such as Anywhere Banking, Fintechs, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Analytics, Security and Compliance, Risk Assessment, Regulatory Framework, Cyber Frauds etc.

IBA High Power CEO Panel Discussion
“India as a 5 Trillion Dollar Economy and the challenging role of Indian Banks in making it happen”

In 2019, India has become a $2.7 trillion economy, having added One Trillion US Dollars in the last 5 years. However, to become a $5 trillion economy, India's GDP needs to go faster than what we grew at an average of 7.5% in the last 5 years. Inflation would need to be capped at 4% to ensure commensurate increase in purchasing power. A sharing economy (currently on the rise) will help achieve this alongside a robust financial market infrastructure with reduced market volatility. This tectonic shift towards shared economies has also given rise to 4 key trends in banking: peer-to-peer lending, crowdfunding, social payments, and micropayments – all of which are positively contributing to the purchasing power increase and development of underlying market infrastructures. As India treads towards this ambition of a $5 Trillion Economy, the panel will discuss how the Banking Ecosystem will support and contribute this ambition.
